2025 Y4 OVERNIGHT CAMP $27: WEEK 6: MON 10th MARCH to TUES 11th MARCH 2025

CLOSING DATE FOR PERMISSION, PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION: FRIDAY 28TH FEB 2025

We are delighted to confirm our Year 4 OVERNIGHT Camp will be held in Week 6.

This will take place on the grounds of Taumata School and include a trip to the summit of OTANEWAINUKU

Our Camp programme has been developed to provide our students with the following opportunities:

• Develop self-awareness and confidence in their abilities
• Develop and practice a diverse range of skills
• Increase awareness of the environment
• Enjoy the social and personal benefits of interaction with their peers
• Develop tolerance for others and their differences
• Experience challenge and adventure
• Take calculated risks
• Develop and practice leadership skills

This is an exciting co-curricular opportunity, and as such is a "user-pays" experience. We have a wide variety of activities planned which include a visit from a local Otanewainuku guide, a tramp to the summit of Otanewainuku and games and challenges on site at Taumata School.

To give permission to participate, please register and complete this form and make payment. Once you have confirmed your registration with permission and payment, we are unable to offer a refund as numbers will be booked and we will be committed to making full payment to all service providers.

Venue: Taumata School 

Date: Week 6 on Monday 10th March to Tuesday 11th March

Programme: Trip to Otanewainuku and overnight camp at Taumata School

Students:  All Year 4 students 

Transport: Bus

Cost: $27.00 per student (Bus travel, Food and Activities)

PAYMENT: 

We are no longer able to accept direct payments into the School Bank Account for "user pays" activities. "User pays" activities are now on the School Website Online Shop under "ACTIVITIES".

Note that if payment is made into the School Bank Account it will be refunded to you and payment will need to be made correctly on the School Website Shop. If bank details are not provided for refund then an administration charge will be applied to your HERO account and this must be paid before participation of the trip.

Please complete this form to give Permission and make Payment by the closing date of Friday 28th February 2025 to ensure that your child can be registered to attend this Overnight Camp. You will be NOT be able to register after this date because the form will be closed as we are required to make confirmation with Service providers. You are only able to give permission, make payment and register using the School Website Online Shop under "Activities". 

REMINDERS:

We will continue to send general reminders to all parents through HERO notices so please ensure you keep your email confirmation of payment and registration from the Website Online Shop to prevent making double payments. If you prefer to be able to view history of Website orders, registrations and payments you will need to create an account first on the School Website and then login before placing your orders and registrations for activities.

We understand that some families may be experiencing significant financial hardship. If this is the case, please start a conversation with your learning coach now so that you can be advised of the hardship process as we are unable to put plans in place once the closing date for payment is reached as all agreed plan payments plus Administration charges must be received before the closing date.

OTHER INFORMATION:

A google form will be sent out to gather further information required for the Camp regarding Parent Help and the Medical Consent Form. Please be aware that completing that google form does not mean you have given Permission. This website Camp form must be completed to give Permission, Register and Pay.
